Greetings from Excel International School! We want to share the following important updates:

Midterm Break

Students will have their Midterm Break from 12 to 18 October 2026. Parents are encouraged to use this period to allow students to rest while maintaining appropriate reading and revision routines. The School Office will remain open during the break according to its usual timings.

 

Special Classes – Year 10 (14^th October to 16^th October 2026)

Special classes will be arranged for Year 10 to provide additional revision, consolidation, and examination preparation. Further details will be communicated by the Class Teachers on Edunation.

 

Parent Workshops 

Parents are encouraged to participate in the upcoming E-Safety Workshop and Phonics Workshop. These initiatives are intended to strengthen home-school collaboration and provide practical guidance to support students' academic progress, digital safety, and literacy development.

 

E-Safety Workshop for Parents – Guidance on responsible and safe use of digital platforms

Date: 14^th October 2026, Wednesday 

Time: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM 

 

Phonics Workshop for Parents (FS2 to Year 1)– Supporting early literacy and reading development at home.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

• What is Phonics?
• What is the Monster Phonics system?
• Tips and ideas for supporting phonics and reading at home.

Time: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
