EIS Week of Welcome 2025-26

Week of Welcome marked the beginning of the new academic year with great excitement, as students returned to school full of joy and enthusiasm, ready to embrace new beginnings and opportunities.

The week was filled with fun activities that created an energetic and welcoming atmosphere across the campus. Students engaged in icebreakers, team-building games, and creative classroom tasks that encouraged collaboration and confidence. These activities helped them reconnect with old friends, meet new classmates, and strengthen the bonds that make the Excel community feel like a family. Teachers and staff also joined in, guiding students with warmth and encouragement, ensuring that everyone felt included and valued from the very first day.

The school community then came together for the first assembly of the year, led by Head Teacher Ms. Agnes Nathaniel, with the inspiring theme “One School, One Heartbeat.” Like a heartbeat, when we all move in one rhythm, we feel stronger, more connected, and unstoppable. The atmosphere was filled with pride as students and staff reflected on the importance of unity, collaboration, and working together to achieve success.

The assembly set the tone for the year, reminding everyone that Excel International School beats as one united family under the motto: “One School, One Heartbeat.” To celebrate this spirit of togetherness, the entire school joined in chanting the theme with pride and excitement, echoing the message that every individual contributes to the rhythm of the whole community. Students also enjoyed heart-shaped treats, a sweet symbol of love, unity, and the bonds that tie the Excel family together.

The first day back at Excel International School was filled with energy and joy as students posed with excitement, ready to embrace a new year of learning, friendships, and unforgettable experiences.

 

Students put their speed and focus to the test in the exciting cup game, racing to see who could be the fastest and claim victory. Fun, laughter, and friendly competition filled the classroom as everyone gave their best!

 

Engaging with challenging puzzles, learners enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills while enjoying the excitement of discovery.

 

Students crafted their own paper boats, personalizing them with their names and enjoying a creative hands-on activity that combined art and fun.

Artistic skills came to life as learners drew their expectations for the school year, expressing creativity, imagination, and their hopes for learning and growth.

Excitement filled the room as learners showcased the gifts they received to use in school, ready to enhance their learning and explore new opportunities.

 

The traditional Emirati game ‘Karabi Alawlad’ brought joy and laughter during the Week of Welcome, as learners experienced cultural play and embraced fun through this engaging activity.

Learners proudly displayed the paper crafts they created, showcasing their creativity, imagination, and hands-on skills during the activity.

Students, with the guidance and help of their teacher, carefully and meticulously work on their paper craft, showcasing patience, creativity, and attention to detail in every piece they create.

Students took on the stacking cup challenge, testing their speed, focus, and coordination in a fun and exciting game.

Expressing creativity and hope, the learner showcased artwork reflecting their vision for peace, connecting with the Week of Welcome activities and the SDG goal of promoting harmony and understanding .

Adding a fun twist to learning, the word guessing game challenged students to pass the message privately and guess the correct word, fostering communication, teamwork, and quick thinking.

Students expressed themselves creatively in the ‘All About Me’ activity, showcasing their personalities, interests, and unique stories through art.

Ms. Agnes shared her inspiring messages during the assembly, reminding everyone of the theme “One School, One Heartbeat” and encouraging unity, strength, and togetherness across the school. She also shared a powerful thought: “Alone, we are a drop. Together, we are an ocean. One heartbeat can start a rhythm, but many heartbeats together create a symphony.”

The assembly commenced with an inspiring Qur’an recitation, gracefully led by Rokaya Ibrahim, setting a reflective and peaceful tone for the day.

The assembly continued with a heartfelt performance by the students, singing “Heal the World” to celebrate compassion, care, and unity.

 

The newly joined students were warmly welcomed, making them feel included and instantly part of the Excel family from the very start of the year. Everyone was encouraged to embrace new friendships and enjoy this exciting journey together. ;
