Pearson Edexcel Academic Orientation for Year 9 & 10

Excel International School recently conducted an academic orientation workshop for parents and students, facilitated by Mr Wil Grey of Pearson/Edexcel.

The workshop aimed to strengthen understanding of the Edexcel curriculum through a comprehensive overview of its structure, assessment framework, and examination requirements. Participants were also guided on effective strategies to support students’ learning and academic progression.

The session was highly productive, with parents and students actively engaging in discussions and raising pertinent questions to gain clarity on curriculum expectations and assessment processes. All queries were addressed in detail, ensuring a thorough understanding of academic pathways and performance standards.

The workshop was organised by Ms Lourdes Joseph with the full support of the Principal, Head Teacher, and Heads of Department, who served as a panel to assist parents in clarifying concerns. Their collective involvement contributed significantly to the success of the programme and reaffirmed Excel International School’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission of being “Ready for Life.”
