EIS Scouts 2026

The EIS Scouts actively took part in an engaging activity titled “The Importance of Communication,” where both verbal and non-verbal communication were explored.

Through interactive tasks and guided activities, students learned how words, body language, facial expressions, and gestures play a vital role in effective communication. The activity helped scouts develop confidence, teamwork, and awareness of how communication strengthens understanding and cooperation.

The Scouts’ activities commenced with the ceremonial entrance of the flags, featuring the Scouts emblem alongside the UAE flag. This formal opening served to reinforce values of unity, discipline, and respect, establishing a purposeful and dignified tone for the ensuing activities.

Ms. Agnes Nathaniel addressed the members of the Scouts, highlighting the significance of the day’s activities and emphasising key values such as teamwork, responsibility, and effective communication. Her address inspired the scouts to actively participate and uphold the principles of scouting throughout the session.

One of the verbal activities, called The Human Knot, encouraged scouts to communicate effectively and work together to untangle themselves without letting go of each other’s hands. The activity promoted teamwork, problem-solving, and clear verbal instructions in a fun and engaging way.

The Blindfold Game, a verbal communication activity, had scouts guide their blindfolded teammates through a set path using only clear verbal instructions. The exercise enhanced listening skills, trust, and precise communication in an engaging and enjoyable manner.

The Let’s Arrange the Number game, a non-verbal communication activity, challenged scouts to organise themselves in the correct numerical order without speaking. Using gestures, facial expressions, and body language, the activity developed teamwork, observation skills, and effective non-verbal interaction in a fun and engaging way.
