Islamic Education Week

Excel International School organised a special Islamic Education Week, featuring a range of meaningful activities and various competitions designed to strengthen Islamic values among students.

Throughout the week, students from different year levels actively engaged in thoughtfully planned activities that encouraged spiritual growth, reflection, and a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings. The competitions provided opportunities for students to demonstrate confidence, discipline, creativity, and respect for Islamic principles in a supportive and inspiring environment.

The initiative fostered a strong sense of participation and enthusiasm across the school, while reinforcing students’ connection to their faith and Islamic identity. Islamic Education Week served as a valuable platform for nurturing moral values, spiritual awareness, and holistic development within the school community.

One of the key highlights was the Adhan Competition, conducted in a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Students delivered the Adhan with confidence and clarity, showcasing strong vocal ability, composure, and respectful performance. The competition reflected a strong spirit of participation and engagement, while also deepening students’ connection to their Islamic identity and religious practices. The event served as a meaningful platform for nurturing faith, confidence, and reverence within the school community.

The Calligraphy Competition provided students with a creative platform to express their appreciation of Islamic art and heritage. Through carefully crafted Arabic script, students demonstrated precision, creativity, and attention to detail, reflecting both artistic skill and respect for Islamic traditions. The competition encouraged creativity while deepening students’ connection to Islamic culture in an engaging and meaningful way.

During the Qur’an Competition, students had a meaningful opportunity to demonstrate their understanding and reverence for the Holy Qur’an. Participants showcased accuracy, fluency, and proper recitation skills, reflecting dedication, discipline, and respect for Islamic teachings. The competition strengthened spiritual connection and encouraged confidence while nurturing a deeper appreciation of the Qur’an.

Through the Speech Competition, students showcased their understanding of Islamic values and teachings with confidence and poise. Careful preparation was evident in their delivery, and the activity supported the development of communication skills, moral awareness, and spiritual growth.

The Hadith Competition allowed students to confidently present selected Hadith, demonstrating strong memorisation skills and a growing appreciation of Islamic teachings. The activity encouraged students to reflect on values such as kindness, honesty, and respect, highlighting their importance in everyday life.
