STRIDE: Students Taking Responsibility In Developing Excellence

Excel International School held its STRIDE programme on 14th and 15th October 2026, during the mid-term break, continuing its commitment to recognising and nurturing student talent.

Led by the Inclusion Department as part of the school’s Gifted and Talented provision, the programme offered students opportunities to explore their interests and develop their skills in Pickleball, Football, Chess, Art, Musical Instruments and Crochet.

Student mentors, selected for their demonstrated talents in their respective activities, shared their expertise and guided fellow students under the supervision of designated staff. Through collaborative learning and peer mentorship, STRIDE promoted leadership, confidence and responsibility, while celebrating individual strengths and encouraging students to learn from one another.

Introducing our Student Mentors for the STRIDE Programme, whose roles reflect leadership, responsibility, and a commitment to supporting their peers. Through guidance, collaboration, and active participation, they contribute to a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their skills, confidence, and independence.
